Dave Matter

Dave Matter is the Associate Athletics Director at the University of Missouri-Columbia since August 2020, where responsibilities include overseeing department communications and supervising the Strategic Communications staff, in addition to serving as the primary media contact for the department. Matter also hosts a weekly podcast titled "Mizzou Storytellers." Previous experience includes serving as an adjunct professor at the School of Journalism and as a beat writer covering University of Missouri Athletics for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and Columbia Daily Tribune. Matter contributed to CBS Sports.com as a correspondent, writing weekly updates on Missouri football. Education includes a Bachelor of Journalism in News Editorial from the University of Missouri-Columbia, earned between 1996 and 2000.
