Jeremy C. Baguyos

Jeremy C. Baguyos serves as a tenured full professor of music at the University of Nebraska at Omaha since August 2007, specializing in double bass (classical and jazz) and music technology. Baguyos has an extensive performance background, currently holding the position of principal double bass with the Des Moines Metro Opera, Inc., and has performed with numerous orchestras and chamber ensembles across the Midwest and mid-Atlantic regions, including the National Symphony and Milwaukee Symphony. Prior roles include core double bass member of the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra, lecturer at Grambling State University, and visiting instructor at Purdue University. Baguyos holds a Master's degree in Computer Music from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's degree in Music from Indiana University Bloomington.
