William Adams

William Adams, PhD, ATC, FACSM, serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro since September 2021, while also owning Adams Sports Medicine Consulting LLC, where consulting services focus on enhancing the health and performance of physically active individuals. With a PhD in exercise physiology and extensive experience as a board-certified athletic trainer, William oversees the Sports Medicine Research Program at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee, emphasizing injury and illness prevention across various athlete demographics. William's prior roles include Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Vice President of Sport Safety at the Korey Stringer Institute, contributing to significant advancements in the fields of sports medicine and sports science. Education includes a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Connecticut, respectively, culminating in a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Connecticut.
