Nicholas Parten is an undergraduate student at the University of Notre Dame pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies and has recently studied Molecular Genetics and Biology at The University of Western Australia. Nicholas has significant experience as an undergraduate research assistant in epidemiology and vector disease behavior with Dr. Nicole Achee, as well as in ecology and evolutionary biology with Professor Julian Torres-Dowdall. Involvement in various leadership roles includes serving as President and Vice President of Bookstore Basketball, coordinating a prominent outdoor basketball tournament that raised funds for poverty alleviation in Jamaica, and volunteering for the Notre Dame Fire Department’s Medical Outreach program through the First Aid Services Team. Nicholas has also gained clinical experience as a Clinical Assistant at Summit Orthopedics and as a Long-Term Volunteer and Research Medical Assistant with One World Surgery. Additionally, Nicholas has engaged with the campus community as an Off-Campus Representative and Section Sports Commissioner in Alumni Hall.
