Ron Powlus

Ron Powlus is an accomplished professional in athletics, currently serving as the Deputy Athletics Director for Football and Director of Player Development at the University of Notre Dame since March 2015. Powlus has a strong coaching background, with previous roles as Assistant Coach at the University of Kansas Athletics from December 2011 to December 2014, and at The University of Akron from January 2010 to December 2011. Earlier experience includes serving as an Assistant Coach and Director of Player Personnel Development at Notre Dame from March 2005 to December 2009. Additionally, Powlus has diverse experience outside of coaching, holding positions as a Wholesale Account Executive at First Horizon Home Loans and a Sales Representative at Pfizer. Powlus began a professional career as a player for the Philadelphia Eagles from March 2000 to September 2001. Powlus holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Notre Dame, earned between 1993 and 1997.
