James Lian is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford since October 2024, following a tenure as a PhD Candidate at NeuRA (Neuroscience Research Australia) from March 2020 to October 2024. During 2023, James served as a Visiting Scholar at Arizona State University and a Visiting Graduate Researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles. Previous academic experience includes a tutoring role at UNSW from January 2021 to February 2023 for various psychology courses, and a Research Assistant position at the UNSW Ageing Futures Institute between October 2021 and May 2022. James obtained a Doctor of Philosophy from UNSW in 2024 and a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from UNSW in 2019, with an additional academic experience at The University of British Columbia in 2018.
