Liora Lazarus

Supernumerary Fellow at University of Oxford

Liora Lazarus is a distinguished legal scholar with extensive experience in academia and publishing. Currently serving as Articles Editor for the Oxford Journal of Legal Studies and as a Supernumerary Fellow at St. Anne's College, University of Oxford, Liora also holds the position of Visiting Professor at Goldsmiths, University of London. Liora is the Founding Editor of the Hart Studies in Security and Justice series at Bloomsbury Publishing and serves as a Professor of Law at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC. Liora's expertise in children's rights and criminal justice is highlighted by the role as Independent Expert with the Council of Europe and as an Expert Advisor on conformity assessments for the European Commission. Previous academic roles include recognition as a Professor in Human Rights Law and serving as Associate Professor in Law and Head of Research at the Faculty of Law, University of Oxford. Liora's educational background includes a DPhil in Law from the University of Oxford, an LLB from The London School of Economics, and a BA in African Economic History from the University of Cape Town.
