Carolyn Meltzer serves as the Dean of the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California since 2022. Prior to this role, Carolyn Meltzer's extensive career at Emory University School of Medicine included positions as Executive Associate Dean for Faculty Academic Advancement, Leadership & Inclusion, where oversight of more than 3,000 faculty was managed, and as Professor and Chair of Radiology and Imaging Sciences for 15 years, promoting integrity, transparency, and inclusion among over 1,100 colleagues. Further contributions included serving as Associate Dean for Research and leading initiatives to build imaging research facilities. Carolyn Meltzer's background also encompasses significant roles at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and UPMC, where substantial advancements in imaging research and clinical services were achieved. Carolyn Meltzer holds a Doctor of Medicine from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology and Behavior from Cornell University.
