Louise Smith is an accomplished Digital Library Project Manager at the University of Southern California since February 2015, where responsibilities include serving as the principal investigator on research projects and overseeing digital workflow management as Manager of the Digital Imaging Lab. With a solid background in digitization and archiving from roles such as Digital Imaging Specialist and Metadata Assistant at UCLA, Louise has extensive experience in managing digital collections and metadata for historical manuscripts. Earlier career experience includes project management in new media design at NantWorks and administrative support for executives at Abraxis BioScience. Louise holds a Master’s Degree in Management in Library and Information Sciences from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Goucher College.
