Co-director Of UKRI AI Centre For Doctoral Training In AI For Digital Media Inclusion at University of Surrey

Yi-Zhe Song serves as Co-Director of Surrey's People-Centred AI Institute at the University of Surrey since February 2019, leading a prominent research center focused on human-centered AI. In addition, Yi-Zhe holds the position of Professor of Computer Vision and Machine Learning and directs the SketchX Lab, a renowned research facility in human sketch analytics that has garnered multiple prestigious awards for its contributions to the field. Yi-Zhe also plays a significant role at the Alan Turing Institute as Turing Academic Lead (Surrey) and has previously established a successful MSc in AI program at Queen Mary University of London. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science from the University of Bath, a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Vision and Graphics from the same institution, and a Master of Science from the University of Cambridge.
