Dolly Cardano Manic

Dolly Cardano Manic is a University Research Associate at the University of the Philippines Marine Science Institute, specializing in metallomics and inorganic biogeochemistry within marine ecosystems. With a focus on the role of nutrients in biological systems, Dolly aims to develop sustainable biotechnological innovations in micro- and macroalgal biotechnology. Additionally, as a Visiting Scholar and Research Associate at the Blue Marble Space Institute of Science, Dolly contributed to a project on satellite monitoring of harmful algal blooms. Experience includes work as a Space Architecture researcher at DEEP SPACE INITIATIVE on bioregenerative life support systems and a Research Assistant exploring the antibacterial potential of endemic plants in the Cordillera Region of the Philippines. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of the Philippines, a Master of Science in Marine Science (in progress), and a YSEALI Fellowship in Green Technology from Fulbright University Vietnam.
