Dr. Subhash Hira

Dr. Subhash Hira is a distinguished academic and public health expert with extensive experience in HIV/AIDS research and control. Currently serving as a Professor at the University of Washington since February 2018 and as a Distinguished Professor at the Indian Institute of Public Health, PHFI since December 2009, Dr. Hira has held prominent roles in several prestigious organizations. Previous positions include Team Leader for HIV/AIDS/Blood Safety at the World Health Organization and Pro Vice Chancellor at MGM University of Health Sciences. Dr. Hira's earlier work includes significant contributions as a Program Leader and Senior HIV/AIDS Specialist at The World Bank and as a Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Additional roles include Associate Professor at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and Specialist & Director in HIV-AIDS programs at the University Teaching Hospital in Zambia.
