Elinor Sveum

Elinor Sveum has extensive experience in the medical field, currently serving as a Resident Physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Washington since June 2019. Prior to this role, Elinor was the Fourth Year Liaison at The GW Healing Clinic, where responsibilities included facilitating an elective for fellow medical students and leading patient interactions. Elinor also held positions as Co-Director at The GW Healing Clinic, managing clinic operations, and worked as a Research Assistant with the Johns Hopkins International Injury Research Unit, focusing on trauma care in low- and middle-income settings. Additional experiences include volunteering in emergency services and contributing as a policy intern at Friends of the Global Fight Against AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria. Elinor Sveum holds an M.D. from The George Washington University, an MSPH from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a B.A. in International Studies from American University, complemented by international study in Madagascar.
