Vikas O'Reilly-Shah serves as the Director of the Center for Pain and Perioperative Initiatives in Quality Safety and Outcomes (PPiQSO) and holds the position of Associate Professor of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine at the University of Washington since May 2019. Simultaneously, Vikas O'Reilly-Shah is the Associate Chief for Perioperative Informatics and Outcomes at Seattle Children's since May 2019. Prior experience includes serving as Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Emory University Hospital from May 2015 to May 2019, and as an Attending Physician at Medical Anesthesia Consultants from August 2012 to April 2015. Vikas O'Reilly-Shah completed a fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology at Stanford Health Care and held various roles there including Clinical Instructor and Resident Doctor in Anesthesiology. Early career experience includes an internship in Internal Medicine at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center. Vikas O'Reilly-Shah earned a Doctor of Medicine and a Doctor of Philosophy in Structural Biology from Vanderbilt University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Michigan State University.
