Daniel Gray

Daniel Gray has extensive experience in educational leadership, serving as the Deputy Chief for College and Career at Uplift Education since June 2017, where oversight includes strategic priorities for college and career readiness across a network serving over 23,000 students. Highlights of this role include increasing college matriculation rates even during the COVID-19 pandemic and securing significant grants, such as a $16 million Bloomberg Philanthropies grant for a healthcare-focused high school. Previous positions at Uplift include Managing Director and Senior Director, contributing to consistently high college admission and matriculation rates. Daniel has also been a Broad Resident, gaining insights into education leadership from top professionals, as well as holding leadership roles at the University of Houston, where engagement with alumni networks was enhanced. Daniel's career began in sales and marketing with Mazda North American Operations, where successful customer engagement strategies were developed. Daniel holds multiple degrees in education and leadership from UC Irvine and the University of Houston, complemented by a Master of Education from The Broad Center.
