Kenya Jackson

Kenya Jackson currently serves as the Secondary Managing Director at Uplift Education since July 2022. Previously, from May 2016 to June 2018, Kenya held the position of Chief Academic Officer at Magnolia Public Schools, where significant contributions included the implementation of data cycles, peer-led professional training, and the initiation of a summer school program. Earlier roles include Director at Inner City Education Foundation Public Schools, Writing Coach at Downtown Value School, and Content Specialist at Teach For America NYC Summer Institute. Kenya's teaching experience dates back to the early 2000s, with positions such as 7th-grade Teacher and Department Chair at Community Action School and English Language Arts and History Teacher at Joseph Wade Academies. Kenya earned a Master of Science in Secondary Education and Teaching from Pace University and a BA in English from Dillard University.
