Christopher King

Christopher has two degrees from the University of Durham and enjoyed a long career in teaching. He was head of Leicester Grammar School between 2001 and 2018 and is currently CEO of the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS).

Chris was twice chair of Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference (HMC) and took a lead in promoting a more open approach to mental health problems in schools. He is chair of a free school, as well as a governor of two other HMC schools. His interests, beyond education issues affecting schools, include well-being and international links to UK education.
