Javier Lazcano

Javier Lazcano has extensive experience in the financial technology sector, currently serving as the Team Lead for AML Investigations at Upstart since March 2020, where Javier leads a team focused on addressing and preventing fraudulent activity. At Upstart, Javier also played a pivotal role in establishing the company’s first internal Investigations team and founded Unidos, the first Latino-focused Employee Resource Group to promote diversity and inclusion in technology. Prior to this, Javier held positions in operations at Affirm, Inc. and as an Account Manager at LendUp. Javier holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Arizona State University.
