Chris Nitsche

Chris Nitsche currently serves as the Assistant Principal at Uptown International School since August 2024. Prior to this role, Chris worked as the IB Coordinator at GEMS World Academy in Dubai from January 2021 to August 2024 and previously held the same position at Braintree Sixth Form from August 2016 to January 2021. Additional experience includes a position as School Advisor and English Teacher at the French American International School in San Francisco from August 2014 to August 2016, and as English & TOK Teacher and Head of PSHE at Deira International School from August 2011 to August 2014. Earlier in the career, Chris was an IB English & TOK Teacher at Open Gate School and an NQT Teacher at Gunnersbury Boys School. Academically, Chris holds a PhD in Education and Social Justice from Lancaster University, as well as a Master’s degree in International Education from Endicott College, and a PGCE in Secondary Education from St Mary’s University, Twickenham.
