Nikhita Airi

Nikhita Airi is a research professional with extensive experience in tax policy and data analysis. Currently serving as a Research Associate at the Urban Institute since July 2019, Nikhita manages projects focused on data privacy in tax data and cash assistance policies, analyzes major tax legislation, and develops internal data science tools. Previously, Nikhita worked as a Research Analyst at the Tax Policy Center, conducting data analyses and estimating the impacts of tax proposals. Additional experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at Reed College, conducting research on international corporate taxation, and interning at the Portland Housing Bureau, where policy research contributed to affordable housing initiatives. Nikhita holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Reed College.
