Sofia Hinojosa

Sofia Hinojosa is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in research and program support, currently serving as a Research Assistant at the Urban Institute since June 2021. Prior roles include Administrative and Program Assistant at the Poverty & Race Research Action Council and various Emerson National Hunger Fellow positions with organizations such as the Congressional Hunger Center and the Western Center on Law & Poverty. Sofia's background also includes serving as a Peer Consultant at the American University Kogod School of Business and participating in a selective Junior Summer Fellow program at Carnegie Mellon University. Engagement in community service is evident through leadership in the U.S.-Mexico Border Alternative Break initiative and as a Regional Coordinator for the MEANS Database.
