Joseph Shacat

Joseph Shacat currently serves as a Special Advisor for Implementation at the US Environmental Protection Agency since June 2024. Prior to this role, Joseph held the position of Director of Sustainable Pavements at the National Asphalt Pavement Association from April 2018 to June 2024. Joseph's earlier experience includes serving as Environmental Compliance Manager at Grace Pacific LLC from January 2009 to March 2018 and as an Environmental Scientist at Environmental Science International, Inc. from January 2007 to December 2008. Joseph holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Executive from the University of Hawaii at Manoa (2011-2013), a Master of Science in Oceanography from the same institution (2001-2005), and a Bachelor of Philosophy in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Environmental Science and Philosophy from Miami University (1996-2000).
