Sama Mahdi

Sama Mahdi has a diverse professional background with experience in healthcare, education, and community outreach. Currently serving as a Case Aide for Refugee Healthcare and Medical Interpreter at the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants since January 2021, Sama has also held positions such as CSA Agent at American Airlines, Universal Newborn Hearing Screening Technician at The University of Vermont Medical Center, and Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Vermont. Previous roles include Undergraduate Research Assistant at The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine, Dental Assistant at Champlain Smile Solutions, Outreach Intern for the Vermont Democratic Party, Development and Communications Officer at Vermont Commons School, Arabic and Islamic Studies Teacher at Weekend Islamic School, and Part-time Sales Associate at Rite Aid. Sama is currently pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Vermont, expected to graduate in 2024.
