Zhiyao Wang

Zhiyao Wang is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in leading teams and managing engineering projects. Currently employed at Speak since June 2024, Zhiyao focuses on hiring individual contributors and engineering managers. Previously, Zhiyao spent nearly a decade at Airbnb, initially as a Software Engineer working on External API, Host Tools, and Host Growth, before advancing to Engineering Manager, overseeing the Airbnb API Developer Platform and third-party integrations while leading two engineering teams. Additional experience includes a role as a Research Programmer at the University of Michigan and an internship as a Software Engineer at Amazon, where Zhiyao contributed to Android App development. Zhiyao holds degrees from the University of Michigan and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, along with coursework from Coursera.org.
