Babak Najafi

Babak Najafi is a skilled periodontist with extensive experience in both clinical practice and academia. Currently, Najafi serves as a periodontist at Origins Specialty Dentistry in San Antonio, Texas, and holds the position of Clinical Assistant Professor at UT Health San Antonio. Additionally, Najafi is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and a Fellow of The Royal College of Dentists of Canada. As a co-founder of Smile Link and the educational channel "Word of Mouth: The Truth about Dentistry," Najafi actively contributes to dental education. Professional involvement includes roles as a reviewer for the Journal of Oral Implantology and the Journal of Periodontology, along with previous service as an alternate delegate for the Texas Dental Association. Najafi’s academic background includes a Master's Degree in Periodontics from Rutgers University and a DDS from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences.
