Mikel Laporte

Mikel LaPorte is an experienced leader in learning and organizational development with a career spanning over 15 years in the healthcare and corporate sectors. Currently serving as Sr Manager of Learning & Leadership Development at UT Health San Antonio, Mikel oversees the learning and development strategy for a large academic medical center, emphasizing executive coaching and leadership expansion. Prior roles include Sr. Manager of Professional & Organizational Development at Cape Cod Healthcare and Training & Development Manager at OU Health, where Mikel shaped leadership training and professional education. Mikel has also held positions at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Blockbuster Video, and DDI, contributing significantly to culture change, training initiatives, and leadership program implementations. Mikel holds a Master's in Counseling from Southern Methodist University and an MBA in Human Resources from the University of Phoenix.
