Mr. Cardarelli joined the Syracuse University faculty in 2003 following a diverse 26-year business career spanning several disciplines including executive management, operations, finance, management consulting and public accounting. In addition to his position as Professor of Management Practice, he also serves as a faculty advisor and Director of the Goodman Leadership Center at the Whitman School of Management.
He earned an MBA from Syracuse University in 1989, having previously earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing & Accounting from Utica College of Syracuse University in 1978, and being named a Certified Public Accountant in New York State in 1981. He was awarded an honorary Ph.D. by Nazareth College of Rochester, New York, in 1997.
He has been named Whitman Professor of the Year three times, received the 2010 Whitman Teaching Award, and has served as commencement speaker at the Whitman undergraduate convocation several times.
Mr. Cardarelli has also been active with several not-for-profit organizations involved in hospice services, hospitals, charitable foundations and educational pursuits.
