Zelda J. Holcomb

Dr. Holcomb began her career teaching middle school math and science. She has held senior management positions in the New York State Education Department, the Baltimore City Public Schools, various universities and colleges and in the corporate arena. Her consulting company, Holcomb Associates, LLC, provided program development and evaluation services to Maryland school districts and nonprofit organizations.

Dr. Holcomb earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from SUNY Plattsburgh, a master’s degree in educational psychology from the College of St. Rose and a Ph.D. in educational research and evaluation from The Ohio State University. She is permanently certified as a classroom teacher, building administrator and central office administrator. She is a past member of the American Educational Research Association, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and the American Evaluation Association.

Dr. Holcomb has received numerous professional honors and has served on many community boards including the Schenectady YWCA, the Schenectady Child Guidance Center, the Baltimore Chapter of the American Heart Association and the College of St. Rose in Albany, New York.
