Floris van Rees

Floris van Rees is a PhD student at Universiteit Utrecht since March 2022 and has been serving as a researcher/advisor at Deltares since October 2019. Prior to these roles, Floris completed a traineeship at the NIOZ Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research from February to October 2019 and worked as an undergraduate teaching assistant at Universiteit Utrecht from September 2012 to April 2018, facilitating courses in Earth Chemistry and Physics for Energy and Transport. Educationally, Floris holds a Master of Science degree with Cum Laude honors in Physical Geography from Utrecht University (2017-2019) and a Bachelor of Science in Earth Sciences from the same institution (2013-2017), along with an Honours Certificate in Geoscience (2012-2017) and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Science and Innovation Management (2011-2013). Additionally, Floris served as the chairperson of SPIN Boardsports from September 2015 to September 2016.
