Tessa Coffeng

Tessa Coffeng is an experienced professional in the field of Behaviour and Culture within financial supervision and organisational behaviour. Currently serving as a Supervision Officer at Autoriteit Financiële Markten since September 2016, Tessa leads projects aimed at understanding and influencing compliance behaviour of regulated entities while also managing internal change initiatives. In addition to the role at AFM, Tessa is a senior researcher and PhD candidate at Universiteit Utrecht, focusing on cognitive biases in regulatory decision-making. Tessa's expertise has been further enhanced through a recent secondment to the European Securities and Markets Authority and volunteer roles as an editor for 'Tijdschrift voor Toezicht' and a committee member at the Kurt Lewin Institute. Tessa holds a PhD in Social and Behavioural Sciences from Utrecht University, having also completed a MSc in Social and Organisational Psychology and a BSc in Interdisciplinary Social Science.
