Derek Schramm

Derek Schramm serves as the Senior Associate Athletic Director of Advancement & Administration at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley since September 2023. Previously held the position of Associate Athletic Director of External Affairs & Revenue Generation at Lamar University Athletics from January 2022 to September 2023. Derek Schramm has a strong background in ticket sales and service, demonstrated through roles such as Assistant Athletic Director at The Aspire Group Inc. and various sales positions at the University of Minnesota and University of Kansas FRMC. Early professional experience includes an athletic marketing internship and account executive position at the University of Nebraska Athletic Department. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and an MBA in Leadership from Lamar University.
