Peter Magnusson

Peter Magnusson is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of international marketing, currently serving as the Department Chair and Professor at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley since July 2021. Magnusson has extensive experience as a board member for X-Culture since 2013, promoting practical international business education. Previous roles include Professor and Associate Professor of International Marketing at The University of Alabama (2015-2021), Assistant Professor of International Marketing at Florida International University (2012-2015), and Assistant Professor of Marketing at Northern Illinois University (2007-2012). Magnusson also held leadership positions with the Academy of International Business US Southeast from 2014 to 2017 and served as Treasurer for the Swedish School of Fort Lauderdale in 2014. Magnusson earned a Ph.D. in International Marketing from Saint Louis University in 2007.
