Steve Hirst

Steve Hirst currently serves as the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, a position held since April 2022. Prior experience includes roles at Texas A&M University-Commerce, where Steve was the Associate Vice President for Campus Life and Student Success and the Associate Dean for Campus Life and Student Development, as well as significant contributions at Wake Forest University as the Director of Student Leadership and Organizations and the Director of Greek Life. Early career experience includes serving as the Coordinator at Texas Tech University's Center for Campus Life. Steve Hirst holds a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from The University of Alabama and both a Master of Education and a Bachelor of Arts from Texas Tech University.
