Kurt Maes

Kurt Maes is an experienced professional in health informatics and quality management, currently serving as the Operations Manager for the EHR at UZA, overseeing operational functions and a skilled team. Additionally, Kurt plays a strategic role as the IT Project Lead for the EHR implementation, developing test strategies for Cerner Millennium solutions. As a Quality Officer, Kurt contributes to hospital-wide accreditation efforts while fostering engagement among healthcare professionals. Notably involved in standardization efforts, Kurt holds committee memberships with CEN/TC251 and ISO/TC215, and serves as Vice Chairman of the Federal Council of Paramedical Staff and Chairman of the National Council of Paramedical Staff. Kurt's educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Health Care Management and a Certification as an EFQM European Excellence Assessor.
