Philip Holmgren

Philip Holmgren is a bioinformatician with extensive experience in developing and maintaining bioinformatics workflows and processing genomic data, including NGS, array, and Sanger sequencing. Currently employed at UZA since April 2014, Philip also manages a high-performance computing cluster and utilizes AWS cloud computing. Previous roles include technical support at the University of Antwerp's Centre of General Practice and research technician at VIB, where contributions involved genetic analysis, student training, and a PhD focused on molecular genetic analysis of severe early-onset epilepsies. Philip holds a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology, a Bachelor's degree in the same field, and an Animal Experiment Leader qualification from the University of Antwerp.
