Sara Wijnant

Sara Wijnant is an experienced medical professional currently serving as an Anesthesiology resident at AZ Sint-Lucas Gent since June 2023. Prior to this role, Wijnant gained extensive experience as a Medical doctor at Defensie since September 2020 and worked as an Anesthesiology Resident at UZ Gent from January 2022 to May 2023. Additional roles include serving as a Physician at AZ Jan Palfijn from December 2020 to May 2022 and at AZ Nikolaas from September 2019 to March 2020. Wijnant has a solid academic background with a PhD in Health Sciences from Ghent University, completed in December 2021, along with Master's degrees in Epidemiology from the Netherlands Institute for Health Sciences and Medicine from Ghent University, and a Bachelor's degree in Medicine from the University of Antwerp. The doctoral research focused on clinical epidemiological studies concerning lung function aging in a joint program between UGent and Erasmus MC.
