Sonora Hetrick

Sonora Hetrick, SHRM CP, is an experienced Human Resources professional currently serving as a Human Resources Generalist at Valant since January 2022, overseeing the entire HR function for a web-based clinical EHR solution. Previously, Sonora worked at Microsoft as an HR Manager during the acquisition of Suplari, where responsibilities included employee onboarding and conflict resolution. Prior HR roles involved coordination at Suplari, Inc., with responsibilities in employee onboarding and benefits administration. Additionally, Sonora interned in international trade with the Office of Economic Development and Competitiveness and Pacific NorthWest Economic Region, enhancing research skills. Early experience includes facilitating events for international students and serving as a Resident Advisor at the University of Washington. Sonora holds a Bachelor of Arts in International/Global Studies and Political Science from the University of Washington, along with study abroad experience at Hokkaido University.
