Eugenio Espada

Eugenio Espada is a seasoned professional in geology and mineral exploration, currently serving as a senior consultant at Vale since July 2022 and as the owner and principal consultant geologist at EEX GeoConsulting since July 2010. With extensive experience across Latin America, Eugenio has held prominent positions such as international exploration manager at Hochschild Mining and vice president of exploration at Cordoba Minerals Corp. Previous roles include exploration/country manager for Barrick Gold Corporation in Colombia, senior exploration geologist for AngloGold Ashanti in Brazil and Colombia, and geological consultant for BHP Billiton and Anglo American. Eugenio's educational background includes a licentiate degree in geology from the University of Lisbon, earned between 1982 and 1987.
