Pirita Vainio

Pirita Vainio is an experienced leader in enterprise architecture, data management, and digital transformation, currently serving as the Director and Head of Enterprise Architecture and Transformation at Valmet since February 2024. With a diverse background, Vainio has held various leadership roles, including Owner and Agile Coach at Invented Here since September 2018, and Director positions at UPM – The Biofore Company, where responsibilities included service design, data impact enhancement, and cybersecurity implementation. Previous experience includes leading digital innovation initiatives at NCC, omnichannel developments at Stockmann, and service management roles at Otavamedia and Posti Group Oyj. Vainio is furthering education with an MBA in Service Design and Innovation at Laurea University of Applied Sciences and holds a Master of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Vaasa.
