Arendo de Ridder

Arendo de Ridder has extensive experience in marine engineering, currently serving as a New Build Engineer for the WTIV Boreas at Van Oord since March 2024. Prior to this role, Arendo held various positions at Van Oord, including Day Engineer on the CLV Calypso and WTIV Aeolus. From September 2019 to March 2024, Arendo was the Chief Engineer for the WTIV Voltaire at Jan De Nul Group and also worked as an Engineer on the Vole au Vent. Arendo's career began in 1991 and includes significant roles at Heerema Marine Contractors, where responsibilities ranged from Chief Engineer for offshore cranes to various engineering positions on deepwater construction vessels. Arendo's foundational education was completed at the Maritien Instituut De Ruyter in Vlissingen between 1989 and 1993.
