Whitney Hong

Whitney Hong, P.Eng, is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as an Intermediate Project Engineer at Vancouver Airport Authority since November 2023. Prior to this role, Whitney held various positions at Primary Engineering and Construction, including Project Lead, Project Manager, Technical Lead, and Designer for Developer Services from August 2018 to October 2023. Prior experience includes working as a Planner at Shaw Communications, where responsibilities involved designing coaxial and fiber solutions and managing permit submissions, and serving as an Outside Plant Design Engineer at Telecon, designing telecommunication infrastructure. Early career experience includes positions as an Engineering Assistant at UBC Mechanical Engineering, focusing on data analysis with MATLAB, and at UBC School of Population and Public Health, managing filter weighing and shipping logistics. Whitney earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of British Columbia between 2008 and 2013.
