Mike Herman Cpps

Mike Herman CPPS currently serves as the Associate Operating Officer for Perioperative Services at Vanderbilt University Medical Center since January 2024. Prior to this role, Mike was the Regional Vice President of Operations at United Surgical Partners International, Inc. from August 2021 to January 2024, where responsibilities included overseeing operations, finance, and partnership management for multiple surgical facilities, with a strong focus on growth through physician recruitment and service line development. Mike's earlier experience includes serving as CEO of Riverview Regional Medical Center and Trousdale Medical Center from May 2011 to July 2021, where responsibilities encompassed the management of two critical access hospitals and a psychiatric behavioral unit. Additionally, Mike held the position of Health System Chief Operations Officer within a 317-bed health system, directing strategic initiatives and managing relationships post-acquisition. Mike holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the same institution.
