Cybele Raver

Cybele Raver, PhD, currently serves as the Provost at Vanderbilt University, a position held since July 2021, providing university-wide leadership for faculty, research, and graduate student affairs. Prior to this role, Raver was the Deputy Provost at New York University from September 2007 to June 2021, where responsibilities included oversight of faculty and research affairs and a professorship. Raver's academic career began at Cornell University as an Assistant Professor, progressing to Associate Professor at the University of Chicago before becoming a full Professor there. Raver's research focuses on early learning and development, particularly in the contexts of poverty and policy, with a strong educational background that includes a PhD in Psychology from Yale University and a Bachelor's degree from Harvard University.
