Mike. Newton

Mike Newton is a distinguished professor at Vanderbilt Law School, specializing in teaching the International Law Practice Lab since August 2005. With extensive experience in international law, Mike has been a member of the Executive Council of the American Society of International Law since 1995 and served as an expert for the Public International Law & Policy Group from 2003 to 2010. Prior to their current position, Mike held a professorship at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point from July 2002 to August 2005 and was a Senior Advisor in the U.S. Department of State's Office of War Crimes Issues from June 1999 to July 2002. Mike obtained a Juris Doctor and L.LM in International Law from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in International Relations from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
