Professor Emeritus: Biomedical And Mechanical Engineering at Vanderbilt University

Paul King is a distinguished Professor Emeritus in Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering at Vanderbilt University, where contributions include advising and teaching senior design and seminar courses since December 2011. Prior to this role, Paul served as an Assistant and Associate Professor at Vanderbilt from September 1968 to December 2011, during which tenure included chairing the Biomedical Engineering department for five years. Earlier research positions involved work on positron target design and analysis at Oak Ridge Associated Universities, and significant contributions as a graduate student at Case Institute of Technology, including the development of a highly sensitive accelerometer and participation in a pioneering hospital-university computer link-up. Paul earned a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University, as well as an MS in Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
