Marcus Smith

Marcus Smith is a skilled network professional with extensive experience in network operations and management. Currently serving as a Network Specialist at VanderHouwen, Marcus successfully resolved a complex network ACL issue impacting application functionality on the Guest network. Previously, at SAIC, Marcus monitored a global network comprised of over 100,000 devices and provided remote troubleshooting support, enhancing service reliability. With a solid foundation from the US Army, where Marcus held various leadership roles, including Howitzer Team Chief and Ammunition Team Chief, strong technical and managerial skills were developed. Marcus is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration with a focus on IT Management at Western Governors University, building upon a Bachelor's degree in Network Operations and Security from the same institution.
