Brooks Kimmel

Brooks Kimmel is an experienced safety professional currently serving as the Director of Safety at Vaya Space since November 2022. Previously, Kimmel held the position of Environment, Health and Safety Manager at Fanatics, Inc., where support for a safety culture was provided across three distinct facilities. At Walt Disney World, Kimmel was the Park Operations Safety Team Lead, leading a team while achieving significant reductions in incident rates. Additional roles include HSE Manager at Dresser-Rand, where OHSAS certification was finalized, and Deputy Director of EHS, Quality and Training at NASA, overseeing a team at the Kennedy Space Center. Early career experiences include teaching and coaching at Bayside High School and serving as an Area Director for Young Life. Kimmel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from The Ohio State University and a Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene from Columbia Southern University.
