Umashanker Gupta is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in vehicle technology and engineering. Currently serving as Head of Vehicle Technology for Trucks and Buses at VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd., Umashanker has held several key positions, including DGM of Vehicle Engineering Function and Deputy General Manager of Product Design and Simulation. Prior experience includes a role as Design Executive at Larsen & Toubro Ltd. and Design Engineer at Escorts R&D Center. Academic qualifications include an M.Tech in Product Design from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology, Sultanpur.
