Alok Ranjan

Alok Ranjan currently serves as the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer for the Aluminium Sector at Vedanta Limited since December 2021. Prior to this role, Alok was the Head of the Centre of Excellence in the Iron & Steel sector at ESL Steel Limited for a brief period in 2021, driving strategic initiatives and manufacturing excellence. Alok's extensive experience includes previously holding positions such as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for Vedanta Limited's Aluminium business, where global sales for a 2 Mt aluminium operation were overseen, and Director roles in procurement and marketing at both Sterlite Copper and Fujairah Gold FZC. Alok began a career in various capacities with Vedanta Resources Limited, Hindustan Zinc, and Madras Aluminium Company, contributing significantly to business development and strategic procurement across the metals sector. Alok holds a B.Tech degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, and an MBA from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad.
