Juan Carlos

Juan Carlos ("JC") Morales is the Founder and CEO of Surfside Capital Advisors LLC, a firm with offices in Boston and Zurich, established in April 2015. In addition to this role, JC serves as an Independent Director for MassDevelopment, appointed by Governor Charlie Baker, where efforts focus on stimulating economic growth across Massachusetts. Notably, JC held the position of CFO at TIAA Asset Management from January 2014 to March 2015, during which a significant merger with Nuveen Investments occurred. Prior to this, JC was the Senior Managing Director and CFO of State Street Global Advisors from March 2011 to March 2013, contributing to strategic transactions and managing a global team. Additionally, JC served as Chief Financial Officer for BNY Mellon Wealth Management from 2005 to 2011. Educationally, JC earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, completing studies at the Isenberg School of Management.
